I have had a lifelong relationship with horses.
I began riding at age 10 at the Traditional Equitation School, Los Angeles Equestrian Center. My early background was in English Riding, primarily Hunter/ Jumpers and Dressage. However, upon moving to far Northern California, I discovered a love of trail riding. Over the past 15 years I have ridden many miles over the beautiful mountains, high deserts and coastal areas of Northern California and Oregon. I am a Certified Backcountry Horse and Wilderness Guide (Colorado Outdoor Adventure Guide School) and still enjoy guiding.
I have a passion for teaching and am a CHA (Certified Horsemanship Association) English/Western Riding Instructor. I maintain an ongoing year-round lesson program with our small herd of horses, ponies and minis. I also teach part time at Stable Hands Therapeutic Riding Center, Yreka CA.
I enjoy learning and expanding my own horsemanship skills and new opportunities for growth. My goals for 2022 include competing in a Ride and Tie Event with my 17 year old Standardbred mare Zoe.
I am a mother of 3 wild, wonderful and adventurous children, who (most of the time) share my passion for horses. I enjoy sharing my love of horses with my family.
I am truly inspired watching my students, clients and horses thrive!
